My friend who has altered genes is a
History major. She likes to link an ordinary thing to current world events. For instance, she keeps on telling me how racial discrimination and cancer are alike while we were in the hospital for her gene test. She narrates that racial discrimination has no absolute cause and remedy just like cancer. It's also deadly and can kill a lot of people just like what's happening between Israel and Lebanon. She even said that if cancer is one of the number one causes of death, then racial discrimination too is the top cause of killings and deaths today.
